MANUFACTURING WIP TRACKING FROM THE REPORTS YOU ALREADY HAVE
FactoryFlow turns a current production schedule and completed-operation history into a manufacturing WIP dashboard that shows where orders are, whether they are moving, and which work centers need attention first.
CURRENT LOCATION, NOT A GUESS
A production schedule can contain hundreds of rows without clearly showing which orders are actually progressing. FactoryFlow organizes the current snapshot into one active WIP list, then lets the team filter by work center, status, age, production order, or part number.
See the work center where every unique production order is currently planned, waiting, released, or in work.
Set an aging threshold and bring long-running work to the top of the review instead of finding it manually.
Use completed-operation records to see that an operation finished and the order should appear at its next work center.
Keep planned or waiting work separate from released and in-work orders so totals are not misleading.
WORK-CENTER COMPLETE ≠ ORDER COMPLETE
Completing an operation at one work center usually means the production order should continue through the routing. FactoryFlow preserves that distinction instead of labeling the entire order complete too early.
A PRACTICAL FIRST PILOT
The pilot does not require replacing the company’s ERP. We map the reports that already exist, validate the field meanings with the operations team, and build the smallest view that improves a real morning decision.
Production schedule, WTD report, or another export containing production orders and work centers.
A completed-operation report lets the view distinguish movement through a WC from total order completion.
Define released, in work, waiting, aging, and the fields that determine the current work center.
Supervisors and planners see which orders and work centers need investigation first.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Yes. A pilot can begin with the production schedule, completed-operation, inventory, shortage, or cycle-count exports your team can already produce. An ERP or API connection can be considered later.
No. FactoryFlow keeps those events separate. A completed operation normally means the order should move to another work center; the production order is complete only when its required operations are finished.
The current production snapshot shows where each order is sitting. Comparing snapshots and completed-operation evidence makes it possible to prioritize orders that remain at the same work center longer than the team’s chosen aging threshold.
No. The operating logic is system-neutral. The pilot starts with available reports and maps their order, work-center, part, date, status, and quantity fields into a consistent view.
