CYCLE-COUNT COVERAGE AND DAILY COUNT PLANNING

Know what was counted, what remains, and what should be counted next.

FactoryFlow turns inventory and count-history exports into a manufacturing cycle-count dashboard with date-range coverage, count rounds, location history, part-level search, and a prioritized daily count plan.

This morning view answers four questions:How much have we counted?Which round are we completing? What locations remain? What should be counted first?

COVERAGE YOU CAN EXPLAIN

Measure unique locations counted without inflating totals.

Cycle-count activity can contain repeated part and location records. FactoryFlow applies the company’s counting rules, measures coverage for the chosen period, and preserves enough history to show when and how often each location or part was counted.

01

Date-range coverage

Choose a start and end date to measure how much of the selected warehouse population was physically counted.

02

Round progress

See the current count round and how many locations remain instead of limiting the process to fixed rounds one, two, or three.

03

Location and part search

Filter by warehouse, location, part number, last count date, or number of previous counts.

04

Risk-based count plan

Bring long-uncounted, high-value, production-critical, or problem locations to the top of the daily worklist.

FROM HISTORY TO TODAY’S PLAN

Connect count evidence to the inventory population.

The calculation starts with what should be counted, then matches count activity by the company’s location and part rules. That makes the remaining work visible without maintaining another manual map.

POPULATIONInventory locationsWarehouse, location, part, ABC code, value, and production relevance.

A PRACTICAL FIRST PILOT

Start with one warehouse or count population.

The pilot defines what counts as covered, chooses a useful date range, and produces a small daily worklist before expanding to every warehouse or inventory class.

1

Define the population

Identify the warehouse locations or parts that belong in the cycle-count program.

2

Bring count history

Use the daily, weekly, or year-to-date report that proves physical count activity.

3

Confirm count rules

Agree whether coverage is measured by unique location, part-location, part, or another operational definition.

4

Build the next-count list

Prioritize the remaining work by age, ABC class, value, production impact, or local policy.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Manufacturing cycle-count dashboard FAQ

Can the dashboard show cycle-count coverage between two dates?

Yes. The user can choose a start and end date, then calculate coverage against the selected warehouse or inventory population using the agreed unique-count rule.

Can FactoryFlow track more than three count rounds?

Yes. Rounds are not limited to one, two, or three. The dashboard can show the current round and how many times a location or part has been counted during the chosen period.

Can we search by both part number and location?

Yes. The view can support warehouse, location, part number, last count date, count status, and number-of-times-counted filters when those fields exist in the source reports.

Do employees need to replace their existing count file?

Not necessarily. A pilot can read the reports already produced and create a clearer control view. Direct entry or system integration can be added later if the workflow requires it.
